 LD Lines launch Easter and Spring short break offers.jpg) Following ferry operator LD Lines' introduction of two new services from Dover to Boulogne and Dover to Dieppe last month, the company has announced special offers for the fast approaching Easter and Spring periods on all its cross channel routes, including Newhaven - Dieppe and Portsmouth - Le Havre.Available as a short break offer (enabling one night in France) excursion fares are: Dover - Boulogne from £28 return for a car and four passengers; Dover - Dieppe from £40 return for a car and two passengers; Newhaven - Dieppe and Portsmouth - Le Havre from £45 return for a car and two passengers. For cross channel visitors preferring to take a longer break during the Easter Holidays and Spring period, 5 day return excursions start from: Dover - Boulogne from £45 return for car and four passengers; Dover - Dieppe from £55 return for car and two passengers; Newhaven - Dieppe from £75 return for car and two passengers; Portsmouth - Le Havre from £95 return for car and two passengers. All short break and 5 day return excursion fares are valid for travel between March and June 2009, including the Easter Holidays (subject to availability). LD Lines now provides two return sailings daily between Dover and Boulogne, which will increase to six return sailings daily from 1 July 2009 when a second ship is added to the route. Crossing time is 1 hour 45 minutes. For the first time, there is now a direct passenger service between the ports of Dover and Dieppe, which saves motorists 250 km drivetime if en route to destinations in the Normandy region, the West, South West France and Spain. Crossing time is 4 hours 15 minutes. LD Lines also provides up to three return sailings daily between Newhaven and Dieppe and two return sailings daily between Portsmouth and Le Havre. The company's recently expanded ferry service network now comprises five routes: Dover - Boulogne; Dover - Dieppe; Portsmouth - Le Havre; Newhaven - Dieppe, in addition to a direct ferry service between Le Havre and Rosslare Europort in Southern Ireland.
