For lunch you can order a fresh and crisp summer salad, a hearty snack or choose one of our delicious ice creams.

In the evenings our Chef will surprise you with a Provençal menu accompanied by a delicious regional wine.

There are scores of activities to choose from in the immediate surroundings.

Discover the Mediterranean forests in the adventure and nature park “Aoubré”, play a round of golf on the course at Barbaroux some 8 km from La Bastide, or go for a quad ride.
There are also beautiful cycling and walking opportunities, for which mapped routes are at your disposal. Mountainbikes to rent.

Just half an hour’s drive away to the north of Besse you will find the river Argens, where you can rent a cano

Location
From the pitoresque village of Besse sur Issole explore such colourful places as Hyères with its inlets, Le Lavandou, St-Tropez, Bormes les Mimosas, ...

La Bastide de l'Avellanne is a small authentic 17th century fortress set in a large, peaceful and woody 3 hectare domain.

Enjoy listening to the crickets in the shade, lazing around the spacious heated swimming pool (always 28° C, and completely covered in poor weather) or relaxing in the jacuzzi (31° C). Our tennis court is also available to our guests.
In the Provence a game of pétanque played with a glass of Pastis at hand is a must. You can also sample an exquisite local wine on one of our terraces.

Every morning a breakfast buffet is served in the veranda. The other meals are served in our charming dining room or on the terrace.

At La Bastide the decor in all the rooms is inspired by a Provençal artist. Each room is different but they all have a TV, mini bar, bathroom with bath/shower, washbasin, WC, hair dryer and bath towels.
