Local activities
Lezay has a swimming pool complex with diving area, childrens paddling pool and slide open July and August. Tennis is available in the park in Lezay as is fishing in the lake or streams (permit required). Horse riding is available locally 10mins away. There are golf courses within an easy drive .
The local area is ideal for walking and cycling and is ideal to explore the rolling fields of sunflowers and local wildlife including deer and birds of prey.
Melle is 20 KMs away with its silver mines and romanesque churches.
The monkey sanctuary at Couhe is 25 KMs away and is agreat day out for the kids

Location
Lezay is located in the south of the Deux Sevres close to the Vienne and Charentes borders so is an ideal base to explore. La Rochelle and the atlantic coast is just over an hours drive away and within an hour you can visit Poitiers and futuroscope, the monkey sanctuary at Couhe and the abbey at Celles sur Belle. The ferry ports are all within an 8hour drive and the aiport distances are as follows:- Poitier 50kms, La Rochelle 100kms, Limoges 135kms and Bordeaux 210kms.
