Kitchen facilities
The fitted corner kitchen is fully equipped and has a full cooker/oven and microwave. Also with kettle, toaster and fridge.
There is a washing machine available that can be used for a small extra charge and drying facilities.
External facilities
French doors from the lounge open on to an attractive garden and lawn with an outside seating area with garden furniture and barbecue. Table Tennis available in Summer.
Special features
SUMMER.
The area offers endless opportunities for all manner of activities during the summer months. The walking on marked paths is excellent, ranging from easy rambles in the lower meadows and tracks amongst meadow flowers, to more demanding walking at higher altitude giving the opportunity to experience fantastic scenery and being surrounded by mountains, glaciers, streams, alpine meadows and the rarest of wildlife ranging from flowers, birds and butterflies.
All provide a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. A lot of the higher walks can be reached by cablecars, chairlifts and mountain railways.
Other summer activities include mountain biking following mapped and marked trails of various difficulty. There are summer toboggan runs at both Chamonix and Megeve – excellent fun for all ages. Also river rafting, paragliding, horse riding, swimming, activity centres and minigolf.
Local activities
WINTER
Cordon has its own skiing area easily reached by the snow bus that stops close to the chalet. There are green, blue and red pistes set in spectacular scenery facing Mont Blanc. There is a ski school (ESF) available for beginners who wish to take lessons. The area is family orientated, rarely crowded and very reasonably priced. There are marked walking paths and snow shoe (racquette) routes.
Ski pistes at Combloux and Megeve are only 10 – 15 mins by car giving a huge variety of skiing for all abilities. Chamonix – 25mins (with it’s fabled Valley Blanche run), and Argentiere – 40mins can be reached easily from Cordon by car.
Ice skating is available at both Megeve and St Gervais.

Location
Chalet Les Cerises is located in the charming alpine village of Cordon (alt. 980m), situated 3 miles drive into the mountains from Sallanches en route from Geneva to Chamonix.
We are situated 5 minutes walk from the village centre and enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of Mont Blanc, the Alps and the Chamonix valley.
It’s a perfect central location for exploring this beautiful region. A paradise for walkers. In winter, there is excellent skiing in Cordon and neighbouring villages.
Living rooms
The self-contained apartment is located on the ground floor and has the advantage of french doors in the lounge leading to lawn and garden overlooking Mont Blanc.
The apartment consists of an entrance hall, lounge and two bedrooms.
The lounge is comfortably furnished and very homely and comes with Satellete TV, video (with video library), Dvd, CD/stereo unit and wireless internet connection. There is a double sofa bed and a dining area with a table that can seat six. The fitted corner kitchen is very well equipped.
On arrival, the apartment will be ready for you with the heating on, beds made and towels provided. Please note that our rental prices include bed linen, towels and electricity.
