Kitchen facilities
Our kitchens have been designed for those seeking long term stays.With a multitude of appliances on hand we don't think that we missed out on anything.'Mulsanne' has a good sized fridge/freezer, dishwasher,microvave/grill,oven & hob,washing machine etc.Whilst 'Beau Geste' has a double oven & ceramic hob,fridge,freezer,microwave/grill,toaster etc.(cognac & Beau Geste jointly share washer/dryer in the stable).
'Cognac' has also oven/hob,microwave,dishwasher, fridge/freezer and toaster etc

External facilities
The inviting 10 x 5mtr swimming pool is securely located in its own 200 year old beautiful courtyard with olive trees,citrus bloom and lavender.The gate is self closing for peace of mind and is locked after use in the evenings.Roman steps makes access into the water easy for the youngsters and the elderly alike.A large grassed area behind the orchard has football and badminton for all the family & a adventure area for the young ones.Table tennis,table football & electronic darts are on site too.

Special features
We have provided lots of quality sun loungers,tables & chairs on the terace for all.Outside your gite is also a table & chairs for dining alfresco.
The children will love the amount of inflatables we have free to use.From water volley ball to a minature bouncy castle,they'll have hours of fun letting you relax and unwind.
When you arrive you'll see that we've left a small french hamper to welcome you to our home.
A bread van stops outside most days for a taste of local wonderful bread.
As our guests have said this is a slice of paradise surrounded by sunflowers & vines.We intend to keep it that way and give every guest a slice of what we have and to go home with great memories of their stay with us at La Pommeraie.

Local activities
Our free to use mountain bikes are always popular as locally we have so many safe routes for all the family.We have 2 child seats attached to bikes so the little ones can come along for the ride as well.Why not take a picnic with you and find that shady spot under an ancient tree to dine.You'll no doubt see much of the local wildlife around the quite lanes,from deer to french hens or buzzards to maybe a badger!
If nothing is more enjoyable than an evening stroll then the abundance of vines will make your walk a pleasure.
With many unspoilt beaches not too far away then the whole family will be enjoying the clean sand of the charente maritime.

Or Futuroscope for a breathtaking hitec look at the future.Again with so much to do for the family you will be spoilt for choice.
Saintes was once a great roman town and so has fantastic historical sights.We loved the superb ampitheatre.

Location
We are situated in the golden triangle of Saint jean d'angely,Saintes & Cognac.With so much to do & so many places to see the whole family can expect to enjoy a packed holiday.For the youngsters there is the superb zoo at La Palmeyre,the huge indoor aquarium at La Rochelle or maybe the numerous sandy beaches along the coast.For the adults try a guided tour around one of the famous Cognac houses,a wander around our local market town or evening dining at a local seafood resturaunt.

Our 3 gites can cater for 2 -14 people in absolute comfort.All our gites have comfortable furniture throughout making your stay with us a pleasure.'Mulsanne' (3 bedrooms) has dark restored dining furniture that enhances the beautiful exposed stone walls.In the lounge is a magnificent roof supporting stone pillar that can be illuminated in the evenings for a greater affect.Looking down from above is a gallery landing that gives a better view of the lounge area and its wood burning stove.
'Beau Geste' (3bedrooms) is enterd by 2 sets of grand frenchdoors that open up into the living room with its 22ft ceilings and 8 branch chandalier.A large fireplace and woodburning is a central feature along with a double archway leading off to the mahogany furnished dining room.
'Cognac' (1 double bedroom) has a stepped area leading up through the french doors and into the lounge/dining area.Exposed stonework & oak beams gives this gite a cosy feel.
All gites have sat tv,Wifi & playstations.

All the bedrooms offer quality furniture throughout.Enhanced again by the stone walls & the abundance of beams overhead.The doors have all been hand made on site sitting in harmony with the tiled floors and the solid pine flooring on the 1st floors.A clock radio and bedside lamps are provided to make sleeping in our gites home from home.A room fan in every bedroom makes the temperature more comfortable during the warm summer months.'Mulsanne' & 'Beau Geste' have toilets next door to all bedrooms on the same landings.'Beau Geste' has a 100 yr old burgh walnut double bed as a touch of class.Blankets and duvets are all provided along with cotton sheets & covers.
