Kitchen facilities
The kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences including a gas cooker, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
There are ample work surfaces and utensils for a self catering holiday.
A small window overlooks the fountained courtyard.
External facilities
La Remise shares a 10x5m heated swimming pool with Roman steps and a 2m deep end, with a large sunbathing terrace equipped with sunloungers and parasols. There is a poolside bar where you can buy soft drinks and icecreams and poolhouse with WC and wash basin.
In the south facing communal gardens there is a Boule court, grass short tennis, badminton,swings and sandpit. In the Grange, an open barn, you will find a common games room with pool, table tennis, bar football, air hockey.
Special features
The Logis was originally built as a Manor house and private vineyard, then later became a working farm. It has since been sympathetically restored and now comprises the detached 0wners farmhouse built in the Maison de Maitre style and 4 separate quality self catering cottages.
Approached through grand entrance gates at the end of a private chestnut tree lined avenue, with shaded parking, the farmhouse and cottages all overlook the picturesque fountained courtyard.
The farmhouse and cottages are tastefully restored to a high standard retaining original features. The four cottages share their own 10x5m heated pool. The owners or their guests staying in the farmhouse have the use of a second private 8x4m heated pool.
You have the choice of staying in any of the individual properties on this very private estate or why not holiday with family & friends and reserve adjoining cottages.
Local activities
The Logis is located in the centre of the Poitou-Charentes, famous for its cognac, pineau, oysters, mussles and goats cheeses, within easy reach of the sandy beaches at La Rochelle and Royan and the lovely islands of Oleron, Aix and Re, some of which are suitable for surfing and water sports.
Within easy reach is the famous theme park Futuroscope and the Mariais Poitevin (the Green Venice) a marshland area of great beauty with a labyrinth of waterways linking quaint villages through wetland forests where you can go canoeing or punting .
There are various other locations for canoeing, kayaking and dinghy sailing on sheltered lakes and along the River Charente and a variety of zoos,leisure parks and other attractions to entertain the whole family.
Visit medieval towns like Chauvigny, Confolens overlooking the converging rivers of the Charente and Vienne, St.Jean d'Angely with cobbled streets and gothic towers and fine cities like Cognac and the Spa town of Rochefort .

Location
Logis de Lussais is located in the Boutonne valley on the edge of a quaint rural village and near to a small river and woodlands ideal for walking and cycling, yet conveniently close to the popular small market town of Chef Boutonne with local amenities and a weekly market.
There are local possibilities for fishing, horse riding and tennis.
A local restaurant, a fairytale chateau and Boulangerie are all within walking distance.
Beaches and airports are within easy reach.
Living rooms
La Remise, formerly a stone coach house, overlooks the fountained courtyard. It has an open plan kitchen and sitting/dining room on the ground floor with some exposed stonework, together with a family shower room and separate toilet.
The sitting room is comfortably furnished with a sofa and two armchairs, a dining table and chairs and coffee table. There is satellite tv, a DVD player and hi-fi system.
Upstairs there is a double and twin bedrooms and a second bathroom with shower over a bath, wash basin and toilet.
The cottage has a private entrance through a front courtyard garden which is bordered with a low ornamental fence and archway and has a patio table and chairs and BBQ. The main door leads into the living area and an archway opens into the open plan kitchen. Double french doors from the sitting room open onto a private rear courtyard garden with patio table and chairs and BBQ.
Wi-Fi Internet access is available on site free of charge.
Bedrooms
A staircase from the sitting room leads up to the two bedrooms on the first floor.
The first bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe with hanging space and drawers.
The second bedroom has twin beds with a cabinet between and a wardrobe with hanging space and drawers.
Both bedrooms have windows overlooking the fountained courtyard. They are furnished with French style bedsteads and wardrobes.
