The Gite is fully detached & secluded from the Main House & is set on the edge of our 8 acres of land & has delightful surrounding views. These grounds mainly meadow & woodland are at the full disposal of our guests. The patio area with barbecue & undercovered eating & seating area.

Special features
Whats unique about our property you will find our Carp Lake that is set in 3 acres of meadows & woodland. It is fed by natural springs which ensure fresh running water. Common & Mirror Carp in excess of 10lb also roach, gudgeon, perch, tench & pumpkin seed fish. It is a delightful venue to fish or just sit & relax

Local activities
We are situated in Haute Charente which boasts 737kms of way marked circular walks. Most of the paths are on green lanes which makes them equally suitable for mountain biking. There is a canoeing centre in Exideuil which arranges canoe & rafting trips on the river La Vienne all year. An unusual view of the countryside can be seen on the Velo-Rail, trucks propelled by pedal power on a local disused railway line. There are some world famous festivals in nearby towns, such as the Confolens Folk Festival, The Circuit des Remparts (city racing for classic cars) & Strip Cartoon Festival at Angouleme. Other local Towns to visit Poitiers (futuroscope, museums & Art Galleries, Cognac (brandy). Monkey Valley La Vallee des Singes is a primate Conservation Area with over 350 Primates within a natural setting, an amazing day out for the whole family.

Location
On direct route from Limoges Airport approx 35 minute drive to Chirac in the heart of the Charente. There are a number of lakes with swimming beaches within half an hour of Chirac. Confolens St. Junien within 20 minute drive. Limoges Angouleme both within the hour. Chirac has a bar restaurant only a 5 minute walk away. Exideuil our neighbouring village you can find Post Office Pharmacy Butchers Baker Tabac Shop Bar & Restaurant.

The ground floor has a spacious & comfortable lounge area with woodburner. There is a TV for video player stereo system with cd & radio. French doors leading to patio area. Smoking is not permitted inside the gite & we regret that we cannot accommodate pets.

Stairs lead to mezzanine bedroom with twin beds. Hallway leading to large family bath/shower room with heated towel rail. Seperate Double Bedroom. All bed-linen provided changed & cleaned on a weekly basis.
