The Kitchenette includes 2 electric rings an extractor hood, a microwave with grill and a fridge (with small freezer compartment). Cupboards fully equipped. Everything for a comfortable stay!
There is a dining table with 4 leather chairs and a small table with 2 chairs near the window.

External facilities
For your further relaxation and enjoyment there is a heated swimmingpool (unsupervised), boules pitch, a volleyball-court, table tennis and a sandpit. Inside, a dart board is provided, as well as a selection of games and books. There is also a good selection of information of the region.
In the restaurant you will find a computer, where you can check your mail. We have also installed WIFI, so that you can work on your laptop while sitting on our terrace or in our restaurant
Special features
The ‘petit restaurant’ serves continental breakfast as well as takeaways, such as French fries, snacks. Here you can also have a tasty yet simple meal, and taste a glass of regional wine or a delicious Pineau des Charentes. You also find a small shop for basic provisions as well as sweets and ice cream. And every morning we offer freshly baked croissants, pains au chocolat and baguettes.
We organise a barbeque and pizza evening at the campsite! You may join in!
The complex of EN CAMPAGNE, lies in the hamlet of Essubras (commune Saint Christophe) which is in between Confolens (Charente) and Saint Junien (Limousine) and is surrounded by very peaceful undulating wooded hills and fields .

Local activities
For the active visitor, Essubras is also the starting point for a variety of walking, cycling and driving tours throughout the Charente-Limousine
The nearby lakes feature excellent water quality and are ideal for swimming, rowing, canoeing, fishing (carp and other fish) or relaxing. Other facilities nearby: tennis, golf (5 courses), racing on a circuit.
All over the area around Essubras, you can take a trip into the past and visit a number of chateaux, of menhirs and dolmens. And for those looking to enjoy the flora and fauna, it is at its breathtaking best in the months of May, September and October.
There are plenty of museums and historic places of interest to visit. Such as Angouleme, Limoges, Confolens. Located at about 15 kilometres from Essubras you find Oradour-sur-Glane and its Centre de la Memoire. This village remembers its 642 martyrs - men, women and children - who were murdered by the German SS on the 10th June 1944. The village has remained unchanged since 1944.

If you are looking for a summer holiday, a long weekend or a short break in early or late season, our complex "En Campagne" with gîtes (self-catering apartments), and campsite is the ideal place to start a holiday of discovery and enjoyment in the beautiful Charente-Limousine.
The regions is not densely populated, there being just small villages and hamlets and no main roads to drown out the birdsong and where just the stars light up the night sky
Living rooms
The complex of En Campagne, in the little hamlet of Essubras, comprises 6 gîtes. Our complex was an 17th century former farm house. Which was enlarged and renovated after 1970 into a holiday centre. We renovated the complex in early 2004 into a gite/apartment complex with restaurant, terasse and a campsite.
Gite l'Issoire lies on the second floor and has a cosy living room with a tiled floor( a dining and sitting area, a leather sofa en 2 leather armchairs), feature exposed ancient stone wall
the gite is also provided with tv, dvd, satelite.
You have a private garden beneath your gite/apartment, with garden furniture.
You have lots of privacy in your gite and garden, but you may also choose to join others on the terrace near the restaurant, or near the swimmingpool. There are many beautiful spots where you can sit and relax and where you can watch and listen to the many birds
Strictly no smoking in gite Issoire or elsewhere
Dogs (vaccinated) are more than welcome
Bedrooms
In the large bedroom with tiled floor you will find 2 single-beds, side by side.. The bunkbeds are behind a curtain.
In the bathroom there is a toilet, a large old washbasin and a luxurious shower (with massage!)
This gite is ideal for a family with small children but also for a couple.
For babies we have a special baby bath and a cushion to change the baby's napp0y. For small children we have a special children's toilet seat and a cot at no extra charges.
Bedlinen, bathtowels, tourist tax, electric heating will be charged separately
