The house has electric central heating throughout, and is double-glazed for those hot summer days! A tandem bicycle is available for you to use to cruise the canal and surrounding countryside.

Local activities
Ancy's own famous Renaissance Chateau has summer music concerts and the grounds are open for you to stroll at will. The Burgundy Canal runs past the Chateau and town and offers walking, cycling, fishing and boating options. The Musee de la Faiencerie and Circuit des Lavoirs showcase local history and nearby are abbeys, chateaux, vineyards and picturesque villages galore. Bikes can be rented at nearby Tonnerre and we have a tandem you can borrow. Tonnerre also boasts an excellent public swimming pool. Ancy has it's own tennis courts and there is a 9 hole golf course just along the road at Tanlay.
There are markets, wine-tastings (Chablis is just down the road!), festivals and fairs. Burgundy is justly famed for it's food and wine and Ancy-le-Franc is at the heart of this great tradition. It's delicatessen sells wonderful regional dishes and there are a butcher and choice of bakeries, supermarkets, bars and restaurants to tempt you.

Location
Only 200k from Paris (1 hour by TGV) and nestled in the green valley of the Armancon river, Ancy-le Franc is a charming Burgundian village with all the facilities needed to make your holiday a real French experience.
Medieval villages like Noyers, Semur-en-Auxois and Flavigny (setting for the film 'Chocolat') are nearby, as well as the 18thC Forges de Buffon and daytrips to Dijon, Beaune, Vezelay and Guedelon (fascinating medieval chateau-fort under construction) are another temptation.

On the first floor is the open plan salle de sejour (kitchen/living room), with fully equipped modern kitchen/dining area and comfortable lounge with television.

Upstairs to the bathroom and first bedroom, with a double bed. Upstairs again to the larger second bedroom with two single beds. All linen is supplied.
