50 acres of beautiful countryside surround Chez Charmaux, the owners raise a small holding of sheep, ducks, chickens and geese on the land which can be made available on request.
Wildlife is abundant on the grounds most mornings you can see deer, boar and other wildlife around our land.

Fishing, cycling, walking, golf facilities are all a short distance from Chez Charmaux or just unwind and relax in the peaceful and tranquil surroundings for the day.
The surrouding area has many leisure lakes and man made beaches for all the family, Haute Vienne was also the region that Richard the Lionheart led his campaigns and there are a number of chateaux to explore.
Ordador Sur Glane is a short drive away, on Saturday the 10th of June 1944 soldiers of the Der Führer Regiment of the 2nd Waffen-SS Panzer Division Das Reich killed a total of 642 men, women and children without giving any reasons for their actions and to this day there is no universally accepted explanation for the massacfre, the town has been left as it was that day and has its own museum and guided tours.
The surrounding area boasts a large selection of activities to keep you and the family busy during your stay not mention the large choice of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Chez Charmaux is situated less than 5 minutes from the Market town of St Junien, less than 25 minutes to the city of Limoges and Limoges airport.
Both St Junien and Limoges boast many fine restaurants, excellent shopping facitilities not to mention galleries, museums and local outlets.
Rochechouart with many leisure lakes, Chateaux, Roman baths and other sites of historical and beauty value is only a 10 minute drive away.
We are perfectly situated to explore all Haute Vienne has to offer.

all rooms have been recently plastered and painted and all the original beams exposed and restored to their orginal beauty. A lot of effort has been made to restore this orignal french farmhouse back to its full glory.
