Kitchen facilities
The kitchen/dining area is equipped with top-notch SMEG and Bosch appliances, including dishwasher and a huge 5-plate double-width stove. It has a big wooden dining table (made by cousin Simon in the style of a traditional French farmhouse table). The pitched ceiling reaches up to 4m high, has a big Velux window and exposed beams.

External facilities
Gigondas has a beautiful private rose-covered terrace that faces west for those evenings in the sun as well as direct access to the gardens, wine cellar and swimming pool.

An English speaking caretaker is available to offer advice and tips on activities and excursions.

Local activities
The Ceze and Ardeche to the north and west offer a huge range of outdoor activities from wonderful walks to canoeing on the rivers, climbing, cycling, caves and much more.

To the south and east the lavender fields and vineyards of Provence stretch out as far as the eye can see. Wine tasting, horse riding, wonderful restaurants and lazy riverside strolls all await.

Within a 45 minute drive are the towns of Avignon and Orange with their medieval and Roman styles. The famous aqueduct at Pont du Gard is also close by whilst the market town of Uzes is a treat to behold...

Location
The village of St Andre de Roquepertuis lies in the Ceze Valley in the Gard departement. It's like a little outcrop of Provence on the western bank of the Rhone.

Vines, fruit trees, woodlands, lavender fields and ancient villages

The valley is gently undulating and covered in vines, fruit trees, woodlands, lavender fields and ancient villages. The river Ceze runs down the middle, providing pools for swimming in, rapids to kayak through and waterfalls to gasp at.

The living room has two large sofas (one is a very comfy sofabed) and chairs for lounging about on. There's a big TV, a DVD player and a hifi.

Bedroom 1 has twin beds that join into a double plus a further single bed.
Bedroom 2 has the same twin/double bed arrangements and ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor and has a double bed.
The master bathroom has a bath and separate shower.
Additional single beds are available on request.
