External facilities
Outside the front door is your own patio area with table and chairs, where you can enjoy an early morning cup of tea or early evening aperitif. In the private garden there is a gazebo, table, chairs and loungers.

Local activities
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, the local Baker stops just outside the gite, as does the Fishmonger also on Wednesdays and the Butcher on Thursdays. However, should you want to do your shopping at the local Supermarket where you can also fill your vehicle up with fuel, then that’s just a 20 minute drive away to Coulonges.

Location
Golfing, karting, swimming, fishing, horse riding and a forest adventure area near by. Beaches at La Tranche Sur Mer, La Faut Sur Mer and Les Sables D’Olonne are very popular with the French and tourists alike.
La Rochelle has an amazing variety of cafes and restaurants, with seafood a speciality in many of them. Whilst you are there, a visit to the Aquarium is recommended. The lovely town of Parthenay has an historical quarter that is well worth a visit.

The beamed lounge/dining room can become a second bedroom, as there is a fully sprung double sofa bed and fitted wardrobe. There is a television and DVD player, complete with a selection of DVD’s to view. Some books and games are also provided for your use.
