This area is ideal for those wishing to relax and get away from it all or, for those wishing to indulge in more active pursuits, there is an 18 hole championship golf course (5 mins) which also boasts its own pitch and putt course. Use of local tennis courts is free.


We have a selection of Golf Equipment for hire to help you make the most of your time. You may also take up the challenge of canoeing on the River Tardoire, swimming in any one of the 5 lakes all within half an hours' drive or use the local swimming pool.

There are also marked walks through the countryside and for the really energetic bicycles are available.

The rich and varied heritage of France from its prehistoric caves through to its chateaux, medieval town centres and more contemporary tourist attractions are well represented all round this region.

Location
Set in grounds of over of 2 acres, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but no more than 5 minutes from the nearest town, Les Bois is situated on the edge of woodland with outstanding views overlooking the valley of the Tardoire on the Charente/Dordogne/Limousin borders and surrounded by an abundance of flora and fauna.

The nearest village (1km) has a butchers, and post office.
The nearest town, Montbron, has all amenities.
The nearest city is ancient walled Angouleme (30km)

The large living area of La Vieille Maison is fully equipped for up to six people with fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine, English TV & DVD player. There is also a selection of DVD's, books and games. It has patio doors leading directly onto the private patio and terrace area.

There are three bedrooms. Two are on the first floor where there is a shower room with wc. One is equipped with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Both have ample storage facilities. A cot is available on request.

The third bedroom is on the ground floor and has an ensuite wetroom. This room was designed to be disabled friendly and the doors are wide enough for a wheelchair. For able bodied use this is equipped with twin beds.

Each bedroom has a fan.
