Kitchen facilities
The Farmhouse has a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen diner with wood burning stove and features a dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster.
There are also washing facilities including washing machine, ironing board and iron, and clothes airer.
The kitchen also has everything you could need during your stay, including plenty of plastic items for use around the pool.
External facilities
The house also benefits from a private swimming pool of 10 metres x 5 metres which is purified with natural salts (not chlorinated). It is surrounded by a terrace with a poolside shower and plenty of loungers for soaking up the charentais sun!
There is a brick BBQ and a pagoda covered patio -perfect for outside dining during long summer nights
The garden is mainly laid to grass, with a variety of established fruit trees and is child friendly, being fully enclosed.

Local activities
For those keen golfers, there are three Golf courses within 40 minutes of the property. The Golf de Royan is a truly exceptional course set in a unique landscape in the middle of a magnificent forest. You can play golf here without ever coming across a road or a house. The course attracts the best players. In the heart of the Coubre forest, the eighteen holes and their fairways fit in well with the relief of the natural dunes, a rolling green cut into an ocean of pine trees. A fantastic restaurant is set in a raised location overlooking the 18th green for an enjoyable 19th hole meal or drink!!
The golf course at Saintes offers a challenging wooded course and provides spectacular views of Saintes and includes the remains of a Roman aquaduct.
Located on the banks of the river Charente between Cognac and Jarnac, Cognac golf club has a gently-sloping course dotted with water hazards as it twists and turns between vineyards and woodland.
All courses offer club, buggy and trolly hire.
Location
Set amongst fields of vineyards and sunflowers, yet close to the A10 motorway for convenient access, the Farmhouse is in the village of Jazennes in Charente Maritime.
The coastal resort of Royan is only minutes away with its award winning beaches. The Cognac region is on the doopstep, offering tastings and an insight into the distilling process going back centuries.
The spa town of Jonzac is nearby, with the indoor complex 'Les Antilles' containing a wave pool, waterslide, jacuzzis and saunas
Living rooms
The living area boasts a traditional Charentais Fireplace and has comfortable seating and dining facilities for six people. The room has a newly laid tile floor and is bright and airy - a true home from home!
The property benefits from free to air Sky TV channels, a DVD and VCR. It also has a stereo featuring a cassette and CD player.
There are a selection of books to borrow, as well as board games and cards for the kids to play.
Bedrooms
The farmhouse has three bedrooms:
The master bedroom is a spacious dual aspect room, with the additional benefit of a wash basin. It has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, a towel rail and bedside tables with lamps. There is also a mirror. This room is accessed through the twin room.
The twin room has two single beds, with a large window overlooking the garden and pool. It has a chest of drawers with mirror, bedside table with lamp and a towel rail.
The third bedroom has a double bed with another large window overlooking the garden and pool. It also has a chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and towel rail.
