Kitchen facilities
Les Ecuries: Each gite has a gas bottle cooker, electric kettle, electric toaster, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, storage canisters for tea, coffee & sugar, mug rack, cafetiere, tray, bread board, chopping board, 6 place settings, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. La P'tite Boulangerie has all of the equipment listed above including separate fridge and freezer, microwave/grill, and an electric filter coffee maker instead of a cafetiere.
External facilities
The sun-drenched 10 x 5 metre swimming-pool is a feature of this property. Set in a grassed area, large enough for outdoor badminton, there is a patio and barbecue, and the filtration system, chemical treatment and safety cover have all be renewed since December 2006. Sun loungers, gazebo, wooden furniture and parasols ensure full enjoyment of the area. There is a separate parking area for gite guests and the enclosed grassed courtyard between the gites is a safe place for children to play.
Special features
Les Ecuries each have a wooden bench and parasol for guests' use in the grassed courtyard. La P'tite Boulangerie has wooden extendable table and chairs with parasol. There is a laundry room attached to Les Ecuries with automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board and a clothes airer for each gite. There are many board games in the barn, a full size folding ping-pong table, boules, outdoor badminton, mini croquet and plenty of books to choose from. Detailed maps of the immediate area are provided together with information about all the attractions for you to visit in the surrounding towns and countryside. There are many "brocante" and "vide grenier" sales occurring throughout the summer months in the area. Chaunay has a small supermarket, two bakers, a pharmacy, hairdresser, flower shop, a good local restaurant in the Hotel Central, a cafe and a market on Monday mornings. For a larger market, Lezay on Tuesday morning is a must.
