The 32 acre campsite includes a huge pool, licensed restaurant and bar, all weather tennis court and boules area. The nearest shopping towns are Labastide Murat 12 kms, Gourdon 18 kms, Gramat 15 kms, 49 kms from the picturesque historical town of Cahors - the capital of the Lot and 55kms from the well known town of Sarlat.

Camping Château de Lacomté is brimming with wildlife. There is an abundance of butterflies - many of them rare, delicately fluttering over highly sented lavanders. Many species of birds, whose birdsong gently echoes around the park, which compliments the dappled dappled sunlight, blue skies and the secrets of the Flora and Fauna hidden within the grounds. It is an area ideal for walkers and cyclists, there are both walks and cycling routes clearly marked around us. For photographers and botanists it is paradise as exquisite orchids flower during May & early
June. If you are an Artist this région is your dream come true, and if Astronomy interests you Lacomté is situated in an area almost entirely free of night pollution. On a clear moonless night the stars are dazzling and from. hour to hour you can watch the galaxies swinging around the sky, with the Milky Way dominating all the rest. The sky at night during August is simply amazing, the shooting stars memorable. And for artists, this area is every artist's dream. And for those just wishing to do nothing, Camping Château de Lacomté is heaven !

Good food, fine wine and friends. Enjoy a meal in our restaurant, which forms part of the main building. Sample some of the gastronomic delights of this area in a superb convivial atmosphere. A la carte menu, fine wines and a well stocked bar.

Or dine on the terrace 'Alfresco style' under beautiful romantic starlit nights - count the shooting stars! Views from the terrace over the pool and mature woodland are memorable. Both the pool and terrace are lit at night.

We have a small shop on site supplying essential items. Bread, croissants etc are freshly baked on a daily basis.
