About FrenchEntréeIMPORTANT In common with most professional content and community sites the use of this site is subject to terms and conditions and a privacy policy .![]() Welcome to FrenchEntrée-LotandQuercy.com, a free access web site specifically designed for people who are contemplating a house purchase, planning a holiday, or who actually live in the Lot and Quercy region of France. FrenchEntrée-LotandQuercy.com covers three French Départements:
People looking for property or thinking of moving to the Lot and Quercy are hungry for all kinds of information to help them with their plans. They need everything from reference articles to listings of suppliers to contact opportunities with other prospective or successful purchasers and movers. FrenchEntrée-LotandQuercy.com is designed to provide all these types of information in one easy-to-use, professionally constructed site. The internet is increasingly the first port of call for any information, but the experience can be frustrating and time-consuming as you have to navigate round a bewildering array of web sites which don't always provide complete or accurate information. FrenchEntrée-LotandQuercy.com aims to provide an up to date “one-stop-shop” for the internet audience. Although much of the information is factual we also see ourselves as a community site and we offer members the chance to contribute using the discussion forum or by providing articles for publication on the site. The site is deliberately designed in a friendly and conventional style similar to well established portal sites (BBC, MSN, Freeserve etc) that most internet users will be familiar with – the objective is to provide access to the desired information with no more than 3 clicks. The design and content reflect all the many issues facing prospective purchasers and movers and most importantly they are based on the first hand experience of the editors, writers and publishers. FrenchEntrée.com Founder Guy Hibbert is an award winning publisher who was previously Chief Executive of Sift, the UK’s leading online community building business. FrenchEntrée-LotandQuercy’s editors are Colin and Amanda Lawrence who are resident in the Lot. Content Content is grouped into Zones which represent the main areas of information for which people are searching. The main zones can be accessed using the yellow navigation tabs across the top of the site. Editorial Philosophy The editorial aim of FrenchEntrée-LotandQuercy.com is to be independent, authoritative and up-to-date. We aim to be a community site and we welcome contributions of all kinds from property purchasers, home movers, advisers or anyone with valuable experience to offer our visitors. Please contact us with your ideas. Although the site is supported by advertising the primary editorial material is always written either by experienced independent journalists or by experts in the different topic areas. Sponsors and visitors may also contribute news and articles but these will be vetted for quality and independence of content. Although we hope the site will be of use to people all over the world much of the site has been written with a UK audience in mind and inevitably some of the detailed information may not apply if you are buying property or moving from another part of the world. In future we would like to add content that reflects the needs of a non-UK audience - if you can help us with this aim please get in touch. American visitors will find this site very helpful www.americansinfrance.net Feedback We welcome your feedback. We aim to make FrenchEntrée-LotandQuercy.com the definitive site about property and life in the Lot and Quercy region (just as FrenchEntrée has become for the whole of France), but of course we expect it to evolve and improve over time.
