Property description
The architect seems to have enjoyed himself a century ago in designing this country retreat in vaguely baronial style.
Standing in the lee of a larger later chateau, it seems to have been intended for hunting parties and has kept its two acres of land as a protection around it.
Large high living room with check pattern floor-tiles and a monumental fireplace, entrance hall, kitchen, two bedrooms with basic bathroom facilities, and then on the upper floor, reached by a spiral staircase in the tower, a large bedroom cum library and a bathroom, plus an attic. The staircase leads up to a room in the top of the tower intended to enjoy the view, and very pretty it is. At lower ground level, cellars, a laundry and the boiler room for the oil central heating.
Not a very large house, despite its imposing tower, and within two minutes' drive of a small town with shops and services, in the Western part of the département.
