PoolSwimming Pool - is 9m x 5 m by 1.4m deep with roman steps at one end. It is a salt water pool, and we fitted new pumps, filters and cleaning robots in 2008. You get all these and the compulsory pool alarm. As well as the sun terrace beds, tables and parasols.
GardenThe rest of the land around the main house is laid to lawn and the whole estate is surrounded by a 6foot high hedge giving you privacy and security. The gated entrance also adds to that effect. In total there is just under 3/4 of an acre of land.
LocationThis stunning estate is right on the edge of the wonderful 14th Century village of Frayssinet Le Gélat at the northern end of the Department of Lot in the Midi Pyrenees.
The properties are brilliantly located at the edge of the village giving you and any gite guests the opportunity to stroll to the local bars, pizza restaurant, supermarket (and post office) and the early morning stroll to the best boulangerie in the area is a must taking less than 5 minutes each way. In just 10 minutes you can walk to the local "plan d'eau". A village with just over 400 inhabitants including (of course) French, Dutch, English, Australian, Scottish and American and a few others! A mini united nations - a truly great place to live.
Even better is the major town of Cahors just 40 minutes drive away, and the multitude of villages, bastides, markets, chateaux, vineyards, caves and rivers and so much more is all here on the doorstep. Fantastic.
Going better again - the airport of Bergerac is just 45 minutes drive and with the opening of the new international airport at Brive just 1 hour this is the place to be - Even Toulouse is only 2 hours away!
Then of course the trains and motorways - the A20 motorway is 45 minutes from the village, the TGV can be joined at Toulouse of Bordeax. Brilliant.
