Located within the mountains at 1100 m in Payolle south of Tarbes in the Hautes Pyrenees, South West France. With long warm summer days and the beautiful winter sunshine.
The Tour de France passes by the hotel most years, as it is located between the Col d'Aspin and the famous Col du Tourmalet.
The main house is composed of :
On the ground floor the main hall and stairs are in the centre, to the left there is a bar overlooking the front garden leading to a lounge area which has a triple aspect with doors leading to the front and back gardens, to the right a small reception area leading to a large restaurant leading to a downstairs toilet and three small rooms.
In the hall behind the stairs leading to the back of the house there are two kitchens and a door leading to the back garden, plus 2 small rooms and a very large storage area, and a door leading out to the back of the property.
There are 14 bedrooms all located on the first floor all overlooking the back of the property,
There is 1 bathroom & 1 toilet two of the bedrooms have fireplaces, and on the landing two built in cupboards perfect for storage.
The attic is very large which could either be converted or used as storage space.
There is a large garage attached to the house, also separate garage, with two sets of sliding doors and stairs outside leading to 4 small bedrooms with a small corridor.
A second building is being used as a wood store this area of the property is perfect for two separate gites with room for storage (bicycles ski?s etc)
The summer season April to October there are walking routes that start from the hotel, mountain biking too, for cycling we are on route to the Col du Aspin 6kms and the Col du Tourmalet 27kms.
The winter season December ? end of March In Payolle the roads are kept clear at all times with cross-country skiing, a small ski resort and winter walking routes, Husky rides too. A short drive away you have the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees La Mongie / Bareges. There is the potential to have guests all through the year. The Spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre is just over 20kms away with restaurants, and shops. The pilgrimage town of Lourdes is a forty minute drive away.
Airports Lourdes/Tarbes is 45 minutes away and Pau 1hr 15 mins Toulouse 2hrs Biarritz 2hrs. Price ? 265,000 incl. agency fees
