This 3* 'Ville Fleurie' is a prosperous and lively town with a population around 3500. It has been a thermal spa for 400 years (once used by French royalty) and is a regular weekend/holiday destination for many Parisians. People can 'take the waters' at the public spa, or enjoy beauty treatments/therapies at the private spa in the Domaine de Forges (part of the casino and golf complex). There are 3 museums, public baths, lakes (with fishing), entertainment centre (exhibitions, theatre, cinema & concerts) and 2 weekly markets.

Nearby tourist attractions include: Giverny (Claude Monet's house & garden); Rouen (capital of Seine Maritime) with its old city, cathedral etc., Bayeux Tapestry, landing beaches and V2 launch-pad site. It is 50 minutes' drive to Beauvais Airport and less than 2 hours from the Chunnel.
