The house is situated in a calm neighbourhood with friendly French inhabitants. The authentic Provencal village of Dieulefit with just over 3000 inhabitants is only a 5-minute walk away. In the village a secondary school, fire brigade, a post of the national gendarmerie, a large supermarket and a beautiful graveyard can be found. The village population is still growing. Other nearby towns are: Montelimar, Valreas, Grignan, and Nyons. At greater distance: Orange, Vaison la Romaine and Avignon. Dieulefit lies in the magnificent Drôme Provençale, where one can enjoy hiking, biking and playing golf.
The garden provides a Mediterranean atmosphere. Many scents, many colours, many natural sounds. The garden features a large diversity of plants, bushes and trees.
About100 metres from the house, the swimming pool can be found in a tranquil setting. The pool is 10 x 5 metres in size and is surrounded by lavender and brushes and trees, among which is a large cherry tree, a fig tree and almond tree. Sun panels and a heat exchanger provide swimming water of 28 degrees Celsius between May 15 and October 15.
