Floirac is a small village in a medieval part of France in the North part of the Lot department.
It lies to the south of the River Dordogne in the valley between Martel and Carennac.
Nearby are some of the most beautiful villages in France.
Floirac boasts a Pub, the "Pourquois Pas" with a wide variety of beers crepes and snacks. Many excellent eating places can also be found in both Martel and Carennac.
Nearby sightseeing attractions include Rocamadour, Padirac, Lacave and Gramat as well as four of the "Plus Beaux Villages de France", Carennac, Autoire, Loubressac and Curemonte.

Floirac can be accessed from exit 54 of the A20 autoroute. The nearest mainline station is Brive-la -Gaillarde with a branch line to St.Denis, 10 minutes away. The nearest airports are Rodez, Limoges and Bergerac. The new airport for Brive/Souillac is scheduled for completion at the end of 2008 and is only 30 minutes away by car or taxi.
