There are daily flights to/from Stansted and Tours airport (1/2 hour away), and Calais is approx 5 hours drive. Motorways and the TGV connect with all parts of France.
The town has with several good restaurants and cafes, and there is a market twice a week. The countryside around is ideal for cycling and walking, with the famous Loire cycle route nearby. Numerous local wine-makers abound, with tastings and direct sales
