Property description
This equestrian property was once a dairy farm and has a large array of very useful outbuildings, including large dry storage hangars, stable block set up for immediate use with lighting, water and tack are, the original milking dairy, barns, silage pens and a lovely additional stone longere which would convert to a large family home or gites. The property is ideally located in its own land of approx 113 acres with a long private tarmac lane approach giving excellent privacy. There are three springs on the property, a stream and part of the land borders a beautiful river which is ideal for angling. During the severe drought of 1976 this farm was one of the only ones in the area where the springs did not dry up. An advantage of the range of outbuildings included with the property are their easy access from the house with large hard standing areas so are not muddy like many farm areas, especially in winter.
The main farmhouse is a good size and has been partly updated with potential to create more internal space. There is provision for four bedrooms with two bathrooms, one being en suite to the main bedroom. A lounge, dining room, kitchen/breakfast room and by removing a wall in the dining room it would be possible to have one very large lounge/diner. The house is ready to use and with the possibility of converting the nearby stone longere there would be ample room for two families or to run an equestrian holiday centre. The land is ideal for horses and is currently used for that purpose and and ideal for a lovely equestrian centre. There are beautiful views from all around the land and down to the river.
To the front of the farmhouse there is a large parking area with turning circle and if the property were utilised as a holiday complex there would be no problem for additional parking for guests. To one side of the farmhouse there is a detached double garage and a separate block built single garage. For those not interested in equestrian activity it would make a lovely family home with market garden or even just a private homestead. Your earliest viewing is highly recommended.
