"Dear FrenchEntrée - I just wanted to say that the house was successfully sold through your website. I actually accepted an offer for the asking price within 10 days of the advert coming out. However I didn't cancel the ad until today as things might have gone wrong! However they didn't.I found the entire advertising process simple and the quality of responses very good.Thank you - I already recommend your site to both purchasers and vendors and will continue to do so. Regards - Aldyth Crowther."
"A short note to say how impressed I was with the advertising space in the property section. I had immediate responses from all over the world, Australia, Turkey, America, it was sold within two weeks. It demonstrates the popularity and global audience of your site and it's many services. Many thanks."
Hamish Francis, Figeac, Lot
"I have had a wonderful response form your website... I can't tell you how many enquiries I have received but it must be well over fifty. Far more than from all the other sources put together ... you have clearly got an excellent website and well deserved reputation."

"I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that we have had 3 offers on our property in the last 2 days (its like waiting for a bus...) Two of them, including the one we accepted, came from people who found us on your website. We're hopeful that we will get the paperwork signed next week. We actually had a better response from your site than we had from Living France and French Property News, despite their advertising rates being so much higher. I've recommended your site to a lot of people, both advertisers and people looking to buy property. It seems to be establishing itself (or maybe it already has established itself) as the authoritative source of information on all things French. Well done!"

Notice to Property Advertisers on FrenchEntrée.com
With the number of property sales via the internet increasing, one of the unfortunate side-effects is the increasing numbers of scammer and fraudsters targeting people selling property and attempting to trick homeowners into handing over large sums of money.
Nigerian Advance Fee Fraud or Nigerian 419 Scam
There are many variations of the scam and we would like to highlight to you the dangers of online advance fee fraud and the 419 scam as it is known. The scam often originates from Nigeria, other Western African countries and cities such as London and Amsterdam and will often involve an initial contact enquiring about the purchase of a property. The fraudster will then try to set up an advance fee fraud which might involve, for example, sending you a larger sum of money as a deposit and then getting the seller to refund some money back. The original payment from the scammer will ultimately be rejected leaving the vendor out of pocket. The scam can also operate with the fraudster asking for an initial deposit from the seller to free up a large sum of money with the fraudster then suggesting that they will reimburse the person making the deposit with a profit.
Our advice is to be diligent in dealing with any suspicious email requests. Some examples of emails from scammers are shown below:
Example 1: Goodday, Am Kelvin Anderson i reside at address removed. Hope all is well over there, just came across your home and i will like to know more about it and also the conditions cos' we need it urgently. it is urgently needed. Hope to read from you soonest for futher proceedure regarding the issuing of payment.
Example 2: Please. Are you the owner of the house advertised on the website www.frenchentree-property.com for sale? Email me if it’s still available lets discuss, Thanks and God Bless.
If you receive any enquiries like this do not reply directly to the email enquiry as this will mean that they will obtain your personal email address. Inform us at enquiries@frenchentree.com if you have any suspicions and we will look into the enquiry for you.
For further information on the Advance Fee Fraud and the 419 scam please read the Metropolitan Police website and the United States Secret Service website. Both websites will be able to offer more information on the scams and what to look for in potential scam emails.
