Nice guide

Nice is the préfecture (administrative capital) of the Alpes-Maritimes département in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur région. With its location on the Côte d'Azur, Nice is a top destination for property seekers and tourists.

Vieux Nice - Nice's old town is an area of the city featuring narrow lanes and passages, which have remained unchanged since the 1700's. The old town features many churches and the Cours Saleya has numerous restaurants and markets. The eastern boundary of the old town leads to the Parc de Chateau which has a 92m high rock offering wonderful views of the Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels) and the city of Nice.

The palm tree lined Promendade des Anglais (Walk of the English) offers the perfect setting for a walk along the Nice seafront. The Promendae des Anglais leads to the quai des Etats-Unis where art exhibitions are hosted in former fish halls.

The city of Nice has great museums and galleries, the Chagall, Matisse, Asian Arts, Mamac and the Museum of Natural History all well worth a visit.

The city of Nice also boasts fantastic beaches and many beach activities to suit adults and children alike. The port of Nice offers sailing and boating activities. It is very popular with tourists and visitors who stroll along to view the wonderful yachts and boats which frequent the harbour.

As you would expect the city of Nice has many bars, restaurants and nightclubs. The city also offers excellent shopping facilities and markets including flower markets, antique markets, arts and books.
