Same location (think we must be neighbours  ) No change and 80 cm here too.

That’s good to hear coz I’m further west at the posh end  of the same border.
That’s one more thing less to worry about when I come back.

I pinched this from another forum as it says a wide range of results…costa del sol lost bbc but Benidorm hasn’t?

    http://skyinmadrid.com/pages/news.html

It mentions that south east England’s signal is weaker than some expected so maybe they will have to “turn it up” for the uk residents which will improve signals for some abroad?
Also says ITVs and Channel 4s transferring during tonight.

    Northern Ardeche
    2 x 60cm dishes self installed
No change on either dish to slybox, Humax or Sagecom boxes

Reports rom further South in the Gard suggest 80cm dishes have no signal.

It looks like a very sharp drop off

ditto here with 80 cm dish self installed.

I think ours is a bit larger but it’s up on an outbuilding roof so will have to wait until Saturday for OH to get up there…duh, and we’re losing everything else tonight apparently so will have to watch the French telly. It means sitting in the kitchen all evening :-(

Looking at big dishes, my 120 x 110cm is marginal. How much difference will going to a 130 x 120 cm make I wonder, I imagine the gains are cumulative. Also wondering whether to pay the extra for an offset dish (no shadow from LNB) and which LNB to go for. Any tips.

In SW Gers 32 we’ve lost all BBC channels. 80cms dish, self-installed.
On another forum someone near us, just over the border in 31, has fair reception on a 1.2-.3m dish, installed at ground level.

Ours is all still OK in the Southern Cevennes (Gard) but we do have quite a big dish. Will keep everyone posted if it changes.

    Hi,
Just checked (in S Charente-Maritime) 1.2 m dish. All BBC slightly better than before !? Now 100% strength and quality.

3m dish ? Now that is sad.

Why turn your garden into Cape canaveral for the sake of eastenders ?

Seriously, if you have lost your signal find an online solution.

We’ve lost all BBC channels. I believe it was professionally installed and the dish size looks to be around 60cms installed on the chimney. We’re on the Gers / Haute Garonne border.
I’d been really looking forward to the winter olympics. :(

We’re on the same parallel as, and 50kms east of, Toulouse.

About an hour ago BBC1HD and BBC2HD were pixellating, but are ok at the moment. Might have been the weather over the mountains to the south of us.

I installed mine about 15 years ago, but the quad is about 5 years old. If necessary I’ll upgrade my quad and get a larger dish when things have settled down. I’ve got a meter, but will buy one that generates a sound linked to signal strength if I have to change things.
