Her speech today was breathtakingly hypocritical, if she failed to see the irony in every argument she made against Scottish independence then she and those sycophants that support her are actually far more stupid than I had actually believed possible. I knew she was an appalling politician before Brexit and today she just confirmed every criticism that I have of her.

You missed out dictatorial, devious and imposing a non Brexit mandate that no-one had voted for – where the **** did grammer schools come from!
Given her previous role as Home Secretary the hypocrisy it to be expected.

She is only carrying out the electorates wishes.

Scotland voted to stay in the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom voted to leave the EU and the UK prime minister has to ensure that the electorates wishes are fullfilled.

Would you rather have had Boris?

    Or Gove?

    Or Leadnobody?

    Or Liam Fox?

    Or Corbyn?

She’s the best we’ve got and I’m very impressed with her so far.

Actually GY making one of the architects of Brexit take responsibility might not have been such a bad thing. A short sharp Brexit disaster would have focused the minds of the ‘casual’ Brexit voter don’t you think?

She’s an opportunist politician, nothing new there. I just hope she would move quicker and get the whole thing finished. The rest of the EU will be a much better place when the UK has departed.

Low expectations? She so often seems to be out of her depth.

I’m of a different opinion to everyone else in that I don’t think she wanted the job and only took it out of duty to the party. The speech she gave outside No.10 when she first took office is so different in tone to the vitriol she poured out today which leads me to think that she is now being told what to say. I’ve watched her many times on PMQ’s and she looks so uncomfortable, she can’t even deliver the so called jokes about Corbyn and Labour without snarling.

As for today’s speech I was lost for words (unusual for me). How can you say that you want the Union to continue and will do everything to protect Scotland’s interests when Brexit negotiations start and then tell Scotland that their elected government is doing a c**p job. It was the best advert for independence the SNP could ever have dreamt of.

Agree, after listening and reading the speech, she would appear to be not interested in a “global UK” but just English nationalists

You do know how Scotland voted in the Brexit referendum?

Your reply was already discounted with my reference to sycophants. If you reckon that she is the best you have got then I am not surprised you left England.

If her performance was meant to be help support the Scottish conservatives then it shows an astonishing lack of understanding about Scotland and no one can be at all confident with her at the helm in future talks with EU.
