    I note that Davis is backtracking this morning. Maybe he has been told that the bigger threat comes this week from the EU not ratifying the deal than from the Tory backbenchers?

    Unfortunately it’s not that easy to take words back once you’ve said them https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/dec/12/david-davis-has-damaged-trust-in-the-uk-for-brexit-talks-says-verhofstadt he has played right into their hands

    <hr />

    The question is, is Davis clever enough to appear so daft or is he daft enough to appear so clever?

    Simple solution. Let the immigrants choose which country they wish to go to.

    They are refugees, not immigrants.

    You do understand the difference, I hope.

    Of the 17 million who voted for Brexit how many were anti immigration and more importantly how many still are? On another point how much dosh does it take to get a UK refugee in France to “feck off” from where they came?

    Mr Kurz appealed to conservative and right-wing voters with pledges to shut down migrant routes to Europe, cap benefit payments to refugees, and bar immigrants from receiving benefits until they have lived in Austria for five years.

    The independent reports that the 19/03/19 date can be amended. Encouraging news, so a hard brexit could be implemented, if necessary at an earlier date.
