    A more likely scenario..the overall UK vote is to remain..but in England the majority want to leave and in Scotland and NI the overwhelming majority vote to remain, thus Scotland and NI save the UK from a Brexit! Will England want to separate from the rest of the UK?

    You have just described my dream scenario. Although history shows that England doesn’t have what it takes to go it alone. Think about that before you get all hot and bothered. I don’t mean you specifically Linda.

    The likely faultline for a major earthquake is too far north, but nice thought ally.

    Would you care to enlighten us as to why England couldn’t go it alone, or have you been asked by the mods to not speak on this subject. :wacko:

    I have to say that the thought of England, on it’s own, surrounded by EU countries and trying to make a go of it economically is quite amusing if it wasn’t so scary for those of us that still have interests there.

    I don’t know. I don’t live in England. But given all the gripes one reads on this forum and elsewhere it seems to me to be the natural solution. Yet there has never been serious attempt by England to go it alone. For goodness sake you don’t even have your own parliament. How many countries in the world find themselves in that position. As we say in Scotland “Yer feart!”
    I do know I’d never tell you where a bird’s nest is. Your last remark was childish and pathetic.

    Behave please – and less of the goading.

    Anyhow – the vote might have to be postponed;

    It’s like Google but clearly you’ve never heard of that either.

    Both both my husband and I are still waiting for our voting forms since 29 January. Whi h was when we re-registered.

    Plenty of emails saying forms have been sent, but no sign.

    I was thinking this through overnight. If England decided to go it alone would they keep the Queen or would she stay part of what is left of the Union? I can’t see that England would have an automatic right to the monarchy and she does have a house in Scotland. #constitutional crisis :grin:

    There is a real hypocrite on “the dark side”. Someone posting on the Brittany site about those who can vote in the referendum should do so and how to go about it and not in any nasty manner and a bloke (you can see his name and where he is) has replied “you deserted the UK so keep your noses out of our business”. So what is he doing in Normandy and of course its our business as its the business of every single person in the EU. There are some right wallies out there at the moment.
