Corse – Corsica is one of the five regions that remained unchanged during the restructuring of France’s regions in January 2016. The regional capital is Ajaccio.

The island of Corse – Corsica is divided into two departments: Haute-Corse (the northern half of the island), and Corse-du-Sud (the southern half).
