Covid-19 Only Strengthens the Reasons to Live in France

This week we hear from FrenchEntrée partner Jonathan Pugh of Jonathan Charles, prestigious agence immobilière in the South-West of France.

Just as we were coming out of the tunnel with the dawn of 2020, we find ourselves in another with COVID-19. This experience I believe only strengthens  the reasons to live in the South of France. The sky is blue and our virus statistics are green [according the the official map of virus spread].

The current market, although on pause, is active with enquiries from around Europe and beyond; I have been reassured by the strong wish by clients to continue with their intentions.

And as international travel and tourism becomes an issue for the future, France is increasingly a superbly located and accessible one stop destination.

Life in France offers a rich and diverse array of culture, gastronomy, landscapes and activities, all topped with a certain “Je ne sais quoi“.

In the Toulouse/Occitane region we have a very desirable selection of great value properties. These examples are currently top of the charts:

Large property in Occitanie

Haute-Garonne

€980,000

A beautiful seven bedroom property in a very peaceful location with lovely views yet with easy access to Toulouse and the airport.

Chateau in Occitanie

Pyréneés-Orientales

€2,850,000

Completely-renovated and comfortable 11th Century French Château-fort. On a hilltop surrounded by forest with a distant view of the Mediterranean in the sunniest part of France.

You can see a selection of properties from Jonathan Charles here. If you’re looking to own a home in South-West France, get in touch now for an informal chat about your plans!
