Louise Bourgoin

November 28, 1981

Early career

She made her screen debut on TV, presenting and working as a weather reporter. She was offered her first film role during 2007, in Anne Fontaine’s sexually charged drama, The Girl from Monaco.

I know the face…

Louise’s big break was in Luc Besson’s The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec, a fantasy adventure film based on a comic by Jacques Tardi. In 2011, she starred in A Happy Event.

Typical style

Due to her youth, angelic looks and sultry demeanour, Louise often is cast as a ‘love interest’, although her characters often have a mysterious dark side.

Where will we see her next?

She’ll be starring alongside Vincent Lindon in Les Chevaliers Blancs, which is due for release this year.

C’est pas vrai!

Louise paints in her spare time. She was christened Ariane Louise Bourgoin, but dropped the ‘Ariane’ for her professional pseudonym as a tribute to her favourite artist, Louise Bourgeoise.
