ICS Paris: An International School and Globeducate Member

Established in 1954, ICS Paris is a private international school in Paris, running the International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum. At ICS Paris, we are an inclusive and intercultural educational community driven by a call for excellence. Committed to developing global citizens and successful lifelong learners, we empower our students to shape a brighter future by preparing them for tomorrow’s challenges today. We are very proud of our multicultural environment, which welcomes students from over 70 countries. We offer a high-quality education that equips them to thrive in the world and shape it and make a difference.

As an international school located in the heart of Paris, ICS Paris strives to ensure that each of our students is immersed in many different aspects of French culture through outings in Paris and trips further afield in France, making for a rich learning experience. Our supportive, nurturing community cares about how our students grow into the generation of tomorrow. We expect our students to develop empathy, be kind to each other, and demonstrate resilience and perseverance when faced with difficult situations. Working together in groups, collaborating, and the many different approaches to learning that we use help to cultivate these crucial skills and contribute to developing responsible adults of the future.

At ICS Paris, our students are at the centre of everything we do. Our International Baccalaureate curriculum provides the framework for developing their thinking skills and empowering them to take ownership of their learning. Education at ICS Paris is rooted in the IB learning philosophy and is structured to equip students with the next generation’s skills.

As an international school, we are building towards becoming a Bilingual Multilingual Learners (BML) smart School. With a research-based approach to learning languages and education, we are working on providing the knowledge, expertise, and facilities where children can learn their mother tongue language, and at the same time, follow a rigorous English-language curriculum. It has been proven that this approach instils a sense of pride in one’s community while at the same time increasing students’ academic success. In August 2022, ICS Paris became a ‘BML SMART Nursery,’ which means that at least 80% of staff have ‘Bilingual & Multilingual Learners’ training and the expertise to support our children’s development of their bilingualism and multilingualism. By providing opportunities for multiple language learning, we equip our students with the communication skills essential in an international environment while fostering an understanding and experience of French culture.

ICS Paris is a proud member of Globeducate, one of the world’s leading international K12 education groups, a network of 55+ premium bi-lingual and international schools, as well as online programs, educating 31,000 students in 10 countries. All Globeducate schools have a shared mission to prepare each student to be a global citizen who can shape the world. Building on a fundamental belief in the importance of sharing the value of intercultural understanding and global engagement, we are part of an inclusive, dynamic international network that prepares students for the world of tomorrow. Our students learn how to play their part in shaping the future and tackle the unprecedented social, economic, and environmental challenges that are reshaping our global communities.
