The department of Aveyron is situated in the most north-easterly part of the department of the Midi-Pyrénées. Whether it be through forests and vineyards or medieval villages and leafy canopies Aveyron has a simple yet rugged wildness that is hard to find.

THINGS TO DO IN AVEYRON

  • Head over the rolling hills to Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Known as one of the regions “new concept” bastide towns. It’s often described as the best market in Aveyron as it fills the entire square of the Place Nôtre Dame. If you are looking for fresh local produce make your way over!
