Lovely gîte in the Loire Valley

Loire Valley gîte for friends or families

One of three gîtes on a lovely site in the Loire Valley, Le Pluvier is an 18th-century house that has kept all of its traditional style and character. Looking at the outside architecture or at the woodwork inside, you know it is a unique property of unmistakable charm and history.

Sleeping up to six people, Le Pluvier has three bedrooms, with the master bedroom on the ground floor, and two others – one double bedded, the other twin bedded – on the first floor. There are three bathrooms, each with their own large shower, so you’ll never have to wait while someone else is in the bathroom.

The large living area has plenty of comfortable seating for everybody, and a TV, DVD player, CD player and Wi-Fi access are available. The dining table is a nice focal point for everybody to get together and eat a meal prepared in the fully fitted kitchen.

Outside is a beautiful heated pool, shared between the guests of all three gîtes. Standing in more than two acres of grounds, the pool, terracing and children’s play area offer more than enough space for everybody to have fun in their own way. Moreover, all gîtes have their own private garden, with barbecue and garden furniture, perfect for an al fresco meal in the summer.

A home from home

Le Pluvier is a charming gîte that has kept its early 18th-century roots while also offering all the comforts of modern life. Enjoy English channels or stay connected thanks to the free Wi-Fi, all the while enjoying your holiday in a traditional Touraine-style house.

Staying here, you will be at the heart of the region of France that is famed for its chateaux, wines and vast culture and heritage. You’ll have access to plenty of activities, never running out of things to do and places to visit, and be sure to go back to a comfortable house at the end of the day.

Have a grape time!

The Loire Valley is a lovely region, full of ancient chateaux open to visitors, and attractive towns with plenty of bars, restaurants and museums – the nearby city of Tours has a castle as well as museums and restaurants, so take a day or two to visit! For nature and animal lovers, the Brenne Regional Park and Beauval Zoo are nearby. The Brenne Park boasts over a thousand lakes and beautiful sights and is ideal for walking, cycling or horse riding.

If there’s anything the Loire Valley is known for however, it’s its delightful wines and vineyards. Most are open to the public and will organise visits and tastings – so don’t hold back if you have a penchant for wine!

And if you’re looking for excitement, Le Pluvier is not far from the city of Poitiers, home to famous Futuroscope, one of the most popular French theme parks that explores films, moving image and new technologies. Plenty of interactive activities and fun rides make it very popular among families.

Price from £360 to £1050 per week.
