Magnificent 19th Century Castle

Located in the region of Centre-Val de Loire and dating from the beginning of the 19th century, this magnificent castle was constructed in the classic architecture of the time (main body flanked by 2 towers) and is built of tuffeau stone (a marine sedimentary rock found in the Loire Valley and used for construction). Sitting on an estate of 4 hectares and with a living space of 650 m², it is composed of 11 bedrooms, a library, a home-cinema room, a dining room, a kitchen and a spacious verandah.

The park of 4 hectares contains a heated swimming pool and a lovely large pond. It is also planted with magnificent hundred-year-old sequoias (among the highest in France).

On the ground floor, the large entrance hall leads to a sitting room, a dining room, a kitchen, a library and finally to a spacious verandah.

The floors above are reached by a lovely staircase in one of the two towers.

The first floor is composed of 5 spacious bedrooms, all with a bathroom and a toilet.

The second floor is composed of 6 bedrooms, also all with a bathroom and a toilet.

The last level is a huge attic that is entirely insulated.

This castle is currently operated as a bed-and-breakfast.

At the entrance to the property there is a large house. The ground floor is composed of an entrance hall, a kitchen opening onto the lounge and then a room used for meetings or banquets. Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms, a bathroom and 2 shower-rooms. This house is also operated as a bed-and-breakfast.

Attached to this same house is a nice split-level flat for the caretaker. The ground floor has a kitchen-cum-living room and upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

The heating is supplied by an oil-fired boiler.

The drainage systems are connected to septic tanks.
