In addition, the property is well placed for water sports lovers, with water skiing and jet skiing only minutes away as well as kayaking along the River Aube.
The stone & timber framed buildings lining the courtyard, steeped with history; were renovated between 2003 - 2023 by the present owner (chartered builder). The main farmhouse and the three gîtes n° 1-3 that line one side of the courtyard have their own terrace with trellis of honeysuckle and roses providing a level of privacy. When in flower, the scent is delightul. On the other side of the courtyard, the largest gîte n°4 and a smaller house used as a store, have their own terraces with privacy offered by wisteria and shrubs. Our guests exclaim that it is like their own private street.
The gîtes may be rented individually, although they have frequently been rented collectively by groups. There is a loyal client base and we have been given excellent reviews. The property is well placed for travel from the UK (approx. 4 hours from Calais) and families converging from different part of France and other European countries.
The sales price includes all furniture/appliances/equipment associated with the gîtes so the purchaser can start renting out the gîtes from the word go. The current owners plan to stay in the area and are prepared to provide advice & guidance to help you settle in.
