In 2013 it was converted into four individual, self-contained apartments, comprising living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and private balcony or terrace.  Each apartment has its own unique character, and all are fully furnished and well equipped as holiday gites.

As well as the four apartments, there is a laundry room which is a very practical room for the management of the changeovers etc.  There is also a large cellar under the house with access from the garden, and there is an atelier in the garden which is used as a storeroom, but could be made into a bar or sauna.  

There is parking space for 4 cars onsite.  Fibre internet was installed in 2023 providing high speed WIFI internet throughout the house.

The business is very profitable, running over a 7-month season and making a return in 2023 of over 13.5%.  This was income from 3 apartments, the fourth is currently used by the owners.  By renting the fourth apartment the income can be increased by 25%.  Further details available on request.

Sarlat has the highest number of medieval buildings per square mile in France, as promoted in the US in the Rick Steves' Tour Guide.  It is also blessed with an excellent market and many good restaurants. Sarlat is at the centre of the Perigord Noir region, which is famous for its prehistoric caves at Lascaux, and its many chateaux. There are also several gardens. There are two rivers, the Dordogne and the Vezere, with walks, canoeing, and stunning views. Not forgetting the many picturesque villages. 

The climate in south west France is mild in spring and autumn and can be hot in summer.  Blue skies and sunshine are guaranteed. The Dordogne is known for its natural beauty.
