Provence has just about everything anybody could want; great weather, wonderful scenery, history and culture, and good transport links. Amid all the doom and gloom about the property market, prices in Provence have held up well. Buying a property in this area will always be a sound investment even during an economic crisis.

For anyone who has been to Provence before, you will know much there is to do and see, from the fabulous coast line, wonderful countryside and bustling cities. But for those who haven’t been before or may have forgotten what Provence has to offer, I thought it would be good to take a little trip around the area and highlight the activities and sights.
Anyone moving to France with a family often needs to make the difficult choice about placing their children into a French state school or one of the few English speaking international schools.

Cassis is a small town on the Mediterranean coast lying approximately 20 km to the East of Marseille. The town has been a popular destination for foreign and French buyers, given its secluded location, proximity to Marseille, Aix en Provence and other towns along the Cote D’Azur.
Arles was built on a hill above the Rhone River and is steeped in history. It was once a roman capital, a leading religious centre during the Middle Ages and the town where Van Gogh settled. Today’s Arles is known as the town of art and history. Its history is so important that it has been recognised and protected by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
