The brand new high standard kitchen features old fashioned charm with painted solid oak cabinets, stone countertops, an island, vintage-style hardware and fittings and porcelain sink. The kitchen is fully equipped including fridge/freezer, gas Rosieres hob/stove, oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and electric kettle.
External facilities
L’Ecole Ancienne is located in a bird sanctuary and is situated between the cottage owners' beautifully restored farmhouse and 10 acres of privately-owned woodlands. There is a creek below the cottage that provides the tranquil sound of flowing water. The property also has several ancient footpaths among the birch and oak trees, ferns and 100-year old chestnut trees. The terrace features a comfortable seating area, an umbrella, chaise lounges and a BBQ with forest and meadow views.

SPECIAL NOTE: Our other cottage for two, "La Maisonette," is located on the same property. Both cottages can be rented simultaneously for couples who would like to holiday together but would prefer to stay in their own cottages.
