The modern kitchen is well equipped with a fridge freezer, gas oven and hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, iron, toaster, kettle, etc.
External facilities
Relax in the large grassed garden and enjoy the delightful woodland views across the valley.
Garden furniture includes; wooden benches, table and chairs, parasol and recliners.
A gravelled driveway separates the house from the barn and provides ample space for up to four cars.

Rental periods are normally Saturday to Saturday however please contact us if you prefer alternative change over days as this can often be arranged.

Local activities
Throughout the year many different activities take place in the surrounding countryside and towns. This includes: walking, cycling, horse-riding, fetes, daily markets, motorcycling, water sports, golf etc. Travel to the island in the mddle of the lac de vassiviere and visit the Contemporary Art Museum, designed by the late Aldo Rossi, or stroll along one of the many nature trails.
The area is ideal for those that enjoy painting and photography. Also, there are many Chateaux and museums, churches and cities, really something for everyone.

Location
The village of Royere is 5kms away with restaurant, bar, supermarket, baker, butcher and pharmacy. Drive a further 2kms and you'll find yourself at the Lac de Vassiviere, the most popular destination for holidaymakers visiting the area. With sandy beaches, water sports for all, it really is the perfect place to relax or have fun. The woodland trails around the lake are ideal for cycling, walking and riding. There's even a treetop assault course! An island on the lake is home to an art museum.
Living rooms
The house has separate living and dining rooms, heated with open log fires.
The dining room has a traditional open fire, large dining table and can comfortably seat eight people.
The large lounge comfortably accomodates both a seating area to relax in next to the open fire and a further dining area overlooking the garden. TV (English channels) and DVD player, music centre, DVD's, CD's, books and games are provided for your entertainment.
A reasonable supply of logs is included in the rental.
The spacious bathroom, situated on the first floor, has a shower, toilet, sink and a washing machine. A further toilet is provided on the ground floor.
Bedrooms
The house has four light and spacious bedrooms, all situated on the first floor with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Two rooms are provided with double beds whilst the other two have king-sized beds (please note the fourth double bedroom is accessed via the third bedroom).
All bedrooms have traditional French wooden floors with chests of drawers and hanging rails.
Bed linen and towels are included.
