The charming open plan ground floor offers all comforts. It comprises a fully equiped kitchenette with oven, hob, microwave and washing machine as well as dining and sitting areas. There is a television a dvd player and hifi as well as a library of dvd's, cd's and books. A selection of family games.is also provided. The wood burning fire allows for cosy comfort in the winter months.
External facilities
Guests at Chez Dyna can choose to dine with us in the evening and have full use of our quiet
garden for eating and drinking or simply to relax and listen to the chorus of local birds.
We offer off road private parking, internet access, many books, clean air and a relaxing environment.
The main house at Chez Dyna is a TV free zone although sports addicts can safely watch sport on TV in the bar opposite
Special features
In summertime, an outdoor swimming pool is open in the adjacent village of Belveze, 3km. away; whilst the town of Limoux (12km. away) famous for its Blanquette, boasts both indoor and outdoor swimming as well as many other sports & leisure including kyak/canoe river rides, tennis and horse riding. In winter, Skiing is possible just one hour away and the beach also one hour away at Narbonne.
Wine tasting and tuition and even a masterclass or quiz can be organised as can local history lectures and preparatory Holy Grail videos..
Local activities
The village of Alaigne is in the form of an ancient “circulade” and nestles in the vineyards called Malepère.
The village boasts a bakery and small shop, post office, primary school and friendly café-bar and is only 3km. from a larger village with supermarket, bank, doctor, dentist and pizza bar.
Just 15 mins; away can be found the famous restaurant of Gayda whilst in the other direction, the small city of Limoux boasts a large selection of shopping, bars & restaurants and is home to the famous Blanquette de Limoux – the forerunner of Champagne !

Location
Chez Dyna is a charming old maison de Maitre in the centre of Alaigne, which has been lovingly restored by present owners Lin & Geoff Faulkner. It is an ideal relaxing location to base your exploration of the Cathar country. Chez Dyna is less than half an hour to both the magical city of Carcassonne, the only fortified town in Europe still inhabited; and the spiritual hilltop village of Rennes-le-Chateau, site of many Holy Grail explorations

Downstairs the beautifully restored gite comprises an open plan living / dining area with wood burning fire as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
There is a small space outside for sitting, however we welcome guests to use the garden of our home next door where we run a B&B. and offer guests to take breakfast or evening meals with us on those days they do not wish to cook.
We aim to offer guests a friendly, stress free stay with the possiblilty to blend self contained gite accommodation with b & b.
We can be flexible about the duration of stay as well as the day of arrival and departure

Upstairs, the bedroom has a double bed and a day bed suitable for a child.

the original beams offer a rustic charm to the elegant airy bedroom on the first floor. It not only has a double bed but also a day bed which is able to sleep a child. A cot is available.
