Kitchen facilities
A small, well equipped kitchenette is fitted with washing machine combination microwave/oven, hob and fridge for meals in the gite if you decide to have a rest from dinning out.
External facilities
Guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens of the manoir for barbeques in the summer months, walking or just sitting and relaxing. You will find a number of benches and seating areas scattered around the grounds. Gite Mirabelle has a private patio area with table, chairs and parasol for al fresco dining.
Special features
Our two luxury gites are set amidst the imposing surroundings of a traditional champenois manoir. Steeped in history the manoir has enjoyed a colourful past surviving the French Revolution, two world wars, German occupation and a tornado. The gardens too have their own history amongst the fruit trees and ancient grape vines first planted by local monks. Come and enjoy the forest, the lakes the history and of course the Champagne. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break, a romantic escape or a fun family holiday, you will find it all here because this is a real French vacation.

Local activities
We also have bicycles for hire, for all the family, to enable you to explore the region at a comfortable pace, for the perfect cycling holiday in France! Another popular addition, a hammock in a lovely shady spot in the orchard, under the canopy of a walnut tree, "Chill right to the core"!

Location
5 minutes from Sainte Menehould, the birth place of Dom Perignon, the inventor of the Champagne "method", and set between the capital of the Champagne region Chalons en Champagne and the historic town of Verdun. Our two luxury gites are set amidst the imposing surroundings of a traditional champenois manoir. Steeped in history the manoir has enjoyed a colourful past surviving the French Revolution, two world wars. Only 90 minutes from Disneyland Resort Paris.
Living rooms
Mirabelle, named after the many Mirabelle plum trees growing in the garden, is a large well appointed, luxury gite with many features.
This self contained, first floor apartment is situated within the manoir and has its own private entrance.
Features include original oak beams,newly laid French oak floor throughout, four poster bed in the master bedroom and large family bathroom.
Large windows on two sides of the main living room and bedroom offer extensive views over the south facing garden and grounds and surrounding countryside beyond.
The family bathroom features a traditional style bateau baignoire (roll top bath), double wash basins, bidet and WC and large separate shower. Full French windows overlook the countryside to the west.
The living room/dinning area has been comfortably furnished with a mixture of new and period furnature. The room also has a TV/DVD unit and large extending French oak dinning table.
Bedrooms
The master bedroom, is designed for relaxation with solid French Oak four poster bed, wide screen TV and DVD with 5.1 home cinema surround sound system. Dual aspect windows afford panoramic views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. The second bedroom is a large comfortable twin room. An aditional third bed or cot can be provided to suit individual family requirments.
