Horses in Normandy

The Equestrizone

Peta Morton

Welcome to our Equestrian Section - brought to you by Peta Morton, FrenchEntrée Normandy’s resident equine expert.

Normandy is known as the sport horse capital of Europe. The abundance of breeders, racecourses and stud farms in the region show the Norman affection for all things equestrian. The Orne, in particular, is very proud of its equine traditions: the Argentan area is the heart of the region’s horse-breeding country and is home to the Haras du Pin (National Stud). So, whether you’re looking to purchase equestrian property , attend horse shows or competitions or transport your horse to Normandy , you will soon discover the region’s passion for horses...and you’ll find lots of useful information here.

Peta is a Director of France Equestre, helping people to find their ideal French equestrian property, and negotiates for a specialist equestrian estate agency in Normandy. She hopes to help you get the most out of your horsey activities in Normandy – whether you’re a happy hacker or an equestrian professional. She also eases the language barrier for those hoping to purchase sport horses in France or sell to Anglophone clients, and helps with a wide range of equine projects.
