Set in the Poitou-Charentes in a stunning and peaceful rural setting, Sharon and Aaron Vogel are pleased to welcome you to Gites Du Marigné. Set in two and a half hectares of meadow and gardens, we have say three gites for rental, a traditional Charentaise farmhouse for four persons and a Napoleonic house for two persons,and a Converted barn for 6 people.
Built of local stone with walls up to one meter thick behind a traditional Charentaise arched gateway, the oldest part of the house was probably a small garrison and is at least 400 years old, while the newer parts were mainly built during the lifetime of Napoleon!
It dates from the 14th century, and has been luxuriously restored and furnished with taste and elegance. There is a very large walled classical garden, flanked on one side by the river Tardoire.
