Just 2.5kms from a well serviced village of Vernoil le Fourrier, 22kms from the picturesque chateau town of Saumur, home to the Cadre Noir and ENE, and a 40 min drive from the cities of Tours and Angers.
The location benefits from being reachable by car within a few hours, to UK clients. There are a number of airports serviced by budget airlines, Tours is just 40 mins drive, Poitiers 1½ hours, Nantes 1 ½ hours, and Limoges, Rennes, La Rochelle, all within a 3 hour drive.

The ferry ports of Caen, Le Harvre, and St Malo, are less than 3 hours drive, Calais is now just 4 ½ hours with the new motorway links. We receive guests from USA, Australia, Israel, Holland, and many other corners of the globe.

Renovated by local French artisans in 2003, whilst retaining many original features, exposed oak beams, tuffeau stone fireplaces, and exposed stone exterior walls, the cottages offer top quality self catering accommodation with home from home facilities including Satellite TV, dishwashers and washing machines. Secured by fencing and gates , the mature flower beds, gravelled courtyard and lawned areas are perfect for family holidays. The 10m x 5m roman end heated pool has child safe gates and security fencing. The mature trees give much needed shade during the hot summer months and guests often enjoy a game of boules under the chestnut tree.

The 4 cottages sleep 2, 4, up to 7, and 10 guests. The smallest cottage known affectionately as “The Honeymoon Cottage” has its own private garden with box hedging more than 150 years old.

All of the cottages are suitable for winter lets having log fires and central heating/under floor heating.

Successful marketing has secured a first page ranking website to promote the gites, resulting in occupancy to full capacity since the 2nd year of operation for the important May to end of September period.
