We have done a lot to this charming house! A new drive sweeps in front of it with parking and a BBQ. In front of that we have a large area of grass which slopes down to the bottom of our valley with trees and a stream. The views across are lovely. It all faces south!
The cottage itself has a superb work room - do with it as you will. For me it is a toolshed! There is a cosy master bedroom with antique french furniture. Then the lounge with a lovely wood stove and sofas. Next is the kitchen with front door. This is a gallery kitchen with a dresser, ceramic sink, fridge/freezer etc. Lastly we have the dining room at present with a large pine table and pews. All rooms have huge windows with outside shutters.
Round the back is the woodshed.
Through the kitchen you reach the main bathroom with sink, bath and toilet. Also a second bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Next to these, with a small step up, is the Twin bedroom.
The whole cottage is on one level (apart from the Twin room) with tiled floors throughout and white stone walls and beams. The Master bedroom is insulated. All rooms have superb electric heaters.
The Workshop and the Woodshed are both part of the cottage - they are just accessed from outside. We have considered knocking through into the woodshed to make a large lounge with conservatory facing south and west.
There is an upstairs - see the two dormer windows? But we have done nothing with this - you don't need to, but with added stairs you could have a fantastic gallery bedroom and ensuite up there.
the land is 2000 sq meters. It is wonderful for a smallholding, or garden - it already has trees including a walnut tree.
Although full of potential this cottage is perfectly liveable in - in fact we rent it out for 12 weeks a year through Brittany Ferries.
There is electric, phone and a new septic tank.
