As a reasonably open minded nurse I have tried a few complimentary therapies and been impressed often , but complementary to conventional medicine not instead of, I am a big believer in placebo effect, and that attention makes you feel better.I think we lose sight of the fact that a lot of conditions burn themselves out and also recover spontaneously .I broke my elbow and was told it would probably never straighten again . Two and a half years later I looked down one day and thought s??t my arms straight.

So to summarise, cancer feeds on sugar, mucus and anger (or think lucky and you’ll be lucky!)

I dont think there is much wrong with the diet and positive mental attitude they are advocating, whether it would avoid cancer? Who knows but it could only give benefits to most people.

not sure about cutting out milk and presumably other dairy products though.

I have a friend who used a homeopathic remedy ( or magic water as her husband put it  ) to try and cut down on the numbers of flies that her herd was suffering with. She put a couple of drops in the cows drinking troughs (hundreds of gallons) and she says that there was a noticeable drop in the flies bothering the cows

    No flies on her, then.

It is a cause of mirth but she’s adamant it works.

Some people are a salesman’s dream. Of course it doesn’t take long for the salesman to work out who they are.

This bit from JSKS’s link makes me so wild:

Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.

All this does is make people who know that they’re not going to survive feel that they haven’t tried hard enough. Aren’t they already going through enough?

And the bits about chemo and radiotherapy are years and years out of date………

Yes, I hate the way that cancer sufferers are supposed to ‘fight bravely’ – why should they? What about those who want to collapse into a quivering jelly?
